It was a big day for a Tulsa Marine reservist who was promoted Thursday.

Lt Colonel Russell Anderson was promoted to Colonel in a ceremony at the Tulsa County Courthouse. When not on active duty, Anderson works as an Assistant District Attorney for Tulsa County.

He says this promotion is a big honor. "It's a great honor and a great privileged to even be considered for the rank of Colonel. But to be selected and promoted is a dream come true."

The Colonel's wife and District Attorney Tim Harris had the honor of pinning him during Thursday's ceremony.
