OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- No Oklahoma Redhawks games were ever played a game there, but All Sports Stadium became a home to some real Redhawks who aren't ready to move just yet.

A worker removing fixtures from light poles at the recently demolished stadium at the fairgrounds found a nest filed with several hatchlings. Wildlife experts told crews that the birds are red-tailed hawks, or Redhawks, for short, and they're protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.

State Fair Park general manager Tim -O- Toole says the light pole won't be disturbed until the hatchlings leave the nest, which experts say may happen later this month or next month.

The Oklahoma City 89ers changed their name to the Oklahoma Redhawks in 1997 when they moved from All Sports Stadium to the SBC Bricktown Ballpark.
