DILL CITY, Okla. (AP) _ An 84 year old Canute man is killed after jump starting a tractor that was in gear and ran over him.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Vernon Gale Church was pronounced dead from massive injuries at the scene of yesterday's accident.

The patrol says Church was on private property near the junction of highways 44 and 152 in Washita County, just west of Dill City. According to the OHP report, Church apparently left one tractor in gear when he jump started it. The tractor then lurched forward and rolled over Church.
