Claremore Police credit the News on 6 and Tulsa Police for help in catching a rape suspect.

Officers suspected Alejandro Garcia in the sexual assault of a 14 year-old Claremore girl.

The News on 6 aired the story last month and early Friday morning, Claremore Police sergeant Wayne Stinnets says, Tulsa Police received a tip on the suspect's whereabouts based on that report. Officers found and turned him over to Claremore Police.

He was arrested on a complaint of first degree rape.
