Got a special occasion coming up for you or someone you know. Want to do something a little different?
News on 6 reporter Rick Wells has found a single mom who's creating smiles packaging Dessert to Go.
Jeaniene Berryhill owns Dessert To Go; she's getting ready to make a delivery. "Gifts for birthdays anniversaries office parties, really there's not any occasion that we can't cater to." This one will be a combination birthday and open house at the Cottage Extended Care nursing facility. She and her chief assistant 6 year old Hailey are dressed as clowns for this delivery but there are a variety of costume choices. "This is the tapping heart costume." There's also a belly dancer outfit. "Sometimes this one scares the kids a bit." A gorilla's perfect for embarrassing grownups on a birthday or other occasion, there are other costumes of course, but this time it's a clown.
Dessert To Go is a reincarnation of a business she operated for about 12 years, it was singing telegrams and balloons and cookies. Now it's pudding loaves, balloons cookies and brownies. “We have caramel, cream cheese, chocolate and M&M, chocolate with nuts, on the cookies we have chocolate chip macadamia nut, sugar, peanut butter, raisin, oatmeal and snicker doodle."
Kelly Herring is having a birthday and you can tell she's thrilled the News on 6 showed up too. Dessert To Go is a great way for a single mom to control her own schedule and she makes people happy. Everybody wins. They also have other delivery items on the menu.
