A Tulsa family grieves while Tulsa Police search for clues into the death of a young mother.

A roommate found 27-year old Tadessa Lucas shot to death in her midtown Tulsa apartment and police know who they want to question.

6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says Tulsa Police were called to the Lakewood Park Apartments at 36th and Maplewood Monday afternoon. There they found Lucas shot to death.

Loved ones say she just graduated from Platt College and was looking to move forward in her life. Court records show she filed a protective order against her estranged husband less than a week ago. Now police want to ask him a few questions.

Tulsa Police Sgt Rex Mann: "At this point in time we're looking at involving a protective order, domestic violence type of situation, and we're pursuing that."

Tadessa’s brother Chris Lucas: "Right before this had happened and she told me she was scared and everything I got my brothers and we stayed with her and my daddy stayed with her, and some friends and I told her to get a protective order on him."

Police are looking for Kelvin Jones[pictured], also known as Kelvin Lucas, as a "person of interest.” He’s described as a black male, about 6-feet tall, weighing 300 pounds.

If you know Kelvin Lucas' whereabouts, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS and remember, you can remain anonymous.
