The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and several law enforcement agencies are teaming up this weekend for Operation "Northeastern Watch"
The special operation is an effort to crackdown on all types of violations and reduce the number of fatality accidents.
There will be driver license, safety, and sobriety check points, and troopers say they'll be looking for even the smallest of violations.
OHP trooper Pete Norwood: "We figure if we takle the problem early and let people know we're going to be out here and we're goin gto be concentrating on any type of violation, making sure we can get the dangerous people off the road, we're going to be able to reduce the fatality rate."
The highways that will be heavily patroled will include I-244 and US highway 412 to the Arkansas state line and I-44 from US highway 75 to the Missouri state line. Several locations in Tulsa and Wagoner County are also included in the watch.
The operation begins Saturday and ends Sunday morning.
