STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- The driver of a Ripley school bus that collided with a flatbed pickup truck, killing two people, is charged Monday with two misdemeanor counts of negligent homicide.
Jimmy Sue Blose of Stillwater was driving the bus eastbound on a county road when she failed to yield to the northbound pickup. A 16-year-old Ripley High School girl -- Sandra Deann Combs -- and the driver of the truck -- Carl Edward Tarver of Cushing -- were killed in the March 29th crash.
Negligent homicide is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in the county jail, a $1,000 fine or both.
Court records indicate an arraignment was set for 1:45 PM. on April 28th.
