Tulsa judge raises bond for two men charged with first degree manslaughter

Two former bouncers who are accused of ambushing a man in a downtown Tulsa parking garage were hit with a higher bond Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Charles Spicer[pictured left] and Jason Nicholson[pictured right] punched 23-year-old Scott Bolton after he left a downtown nightclub, causing him to hit his head on the concrete floor.

News on 6 reporter Steve Berg says both men had their bond raised from $25,000 to $50,000. Spicer made bail and was released and Nicholson was in the process of doing the same.

This was the first court appearance for both men. The judge told them they cannot work as bouncers. She prohibited them from using alcohol or drugs. And she told them they cannot have any contact with the victim's family.

Boltonâ€™s parents live in Dallas and were not at the court Tuesday. His girlfriend, Teresa Desirey was at the courthouse and says this was a difficult day. "This is the first time that Iâ€™ve seen them ever, so today's pretty rough. Just y'know, seeing more than a picture."

Arraignment for Spicer and Nicholson was set for April 5th, where both will face charges of first-degree manslaughter.
