OKLHOMA CITY (AP) _ A Chickasha firefighter remains in critical condition after being burned while fighting a wildfire near Duncan on Wednesday.
Destry Horton is hospitalized at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City with burns to 50 percent of his body, including his lungs.
Chickasha Fire Chief Ronnie Kessler says Horton was burned after his fire truck got stuck in a smoke-filled area.
Kessler says Horton had planned to play golf Wednesday, but decided to help fight fires instead.
Another firefighter who was injured in a separate incident is in stable condition at OU Medical Center. Carney Police and Fire Chief Greg Wilson was injured in an explosion in a fire near Sparks.
