OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Authorities acting on a tip seize nearly 100 pounds of cocaine and 50 pounds of marijuana from a pickup truck after it arrived at a home in south Oklahoma City.
Mark Woodward with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs says the pickup was one of four vehicles that arrived in Oklahoma City on Tuesday from New Mexico.
Police confiscated the vehicles and the drugs, and arrested three people.
Woodward says OBN agents received a tip from New Mexico authorities that the drugs were en route, and that the vehicles were under surveillance until they arrived at the house.
He says investigators believe part of the shipment was staying in Oklahoma while the remainder was destined for the East Coast.
Woodward says the 95 pounds of cocaine is believed to be one of the largest seizures in state history. It had a street value of about $800,000.
