Morton Community Health Services opened their first school-based program at Cleveland Middle School in Tulsa Tuesday morning.
The Cleveland location will provide pediatric and primary care services for its students. Cleveland Middle School is part of the MCHS federally-approved target area. A survey taken at the school showed a significant need for health services.
Dr Michael Opong-Kusi: "Part of the objective is that we will come where the patients are, where the children are so the school is not interrupted."
The clinic will be open Tuesdays from noon until 5:30 and Thursdays from 7:30 AM until noon.
