OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ President Bush nominated John C. Richter for a four-year term as US attorney for the western district of Oklahoma.

Richter has occupied the position on an interim basis since September, following the resignation of former US Attorney Robert McCampbell, who returned to private practice.

Richter says he's excited at the prospect of being able to continue his work.
