McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A North Texas man and an Arkansas man are dead after the pickup truck they were in crashed near McAlester.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Trevor Morton of The Colony, Texas, and 18-year-old Joshua Leverton of Corning, Arkansas, died in the collision on US Highway 69.

Troopers say Morton was at the wheel when the pickup truck veered off the highway Thursday and crashed into a tree about two miles south of McAlester.
