OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ State Treasurer Scott Meacham Tuesday says state revenue collections show Oklahoma's economy is strong and getting stronger.
Meacham says collections for the state's General Revenue Fund in January were $79.5-million above last year's total. That's an increase of 16.3 percent.
Income taxes were up $31.4-million, or 12 percent. Sales taxes were up $101-million, or 8.1 percent.
Total collections for the month exceeded by the state budget estimate by 11-point-4 percent.
