OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission has decided to make no changes in this year's deer hunting regulations.

The commission is rejecting a proposal to reduce the limit on bucks from 3 to 2 and to add seven days to the muzzleloading season.

The proposal was offered by the state Department of Wildlife Conservation, but wildlife division head Alan Peoples says there is strong public opposition from hunters to the plan.

Commissioners also said no to a plan to increase from 4 to 6 the number of deer that can be taken by bow hunters.
