The federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms says it is in Tulsa investigating Monday's early morning fitness center fire.

ATF agents say they're trying to make sure the building is safe for investigators to enter and then they will begin their investigation.

The massive fire at Vintage Health Quest near 51st and Yale destroyed the 38,000 square foot facility. It was a fitness center for seniors. Damage is estimated at nearly $2-million.

Tuesday, the team of ATF agents met with Tulsa's fire officials to determine their next step. ATF agent Bill Newell: "our game plan at this point is to obviously investigate the fire after the building is secure and safety is our primary concern at this point."

The Tulsa Fire Department asked the agents for help because the claim is so large.
