POTEAU, Okla. (AP) -- Carl Albert State College in Poteau is set to break ground Monday on a new academic center.

George Ollie Junior of Poteau donated $100,000 to the school to help build the center, which will be named in his honor. Ollie will use a golden shovel during a groundbreaking Monday to officially start contruction on the three-story building.

A portion of a statewide capital bond issue also will be used to help fund construction of the center, which should take about one-and-a-half years.
