An 18-year-old Henryetta man who shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Cody James has been formally sentenced to life in prison. He pleaded guilty to murder and manslaughter charges in the July 2004 deaths of 16-year-Rebecca Johnson and her unborn child.

James shot and killed Johnson while she sat in a pickup truck with her sister-in-law.
