STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- A gunman opened fire at an off-campus student party at a Stillwater hotel Sunday morning, killing one person and injuring three others.

Stillwater police say two men attempted to enter the party at a Holiday Inn. When the pair was denied entry, police say one of the men pulled a gun and fired several shots into the crowd.

Stillwater Police Lieutenant Michael Metcalf says 21-year-old University of Oklahoma student Paul Shanor was shot in the chest and later died at a Stillwater Hospital.

Two other shooting victims were in critical condition Sunday at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. A fourth victim was treated and released at a local hospital.

Police are searching for 21-year-old Karras Mitchell Harrison of Oklahoma City in connection with the shooting. He's described as a black male, 6-feet tall, and weighing about 165 pounds.
