IDABEL, Okla. (AP) -- A former municipal clerk in Wright City is charged with embezzlement after state auditors found more than $4,500 missing from the city treasury.
Tameico Michelle Threadgill faces five counts of embezzlement of state property in McCurtain County District Court. She's now free on $10,000 bond.
Threadgill is accused of taking more than $4,300 in traffic ticket payments and not turning the money over to the city. She's also accused of making personal purchases of more than $212 and charging the items to the city.
District Attorney Virginia Sanders says ten other Wright City employees have taken city money and are to repay the city by the middle of this month.
