A shortage of quality housing in Bartlesville has prompted the city to fast track building permits.

While there are homes under construction, the demand is greater than the supply. The city has responded with a streamlined building permit - available within 24 hours. It applies to residential and commercial construction.

The city hopes developers will respond, and predicts there will be 1,000 homes under construction by March.
