The walls have started to come down at one of Tulsa Public Schools oldest buildings. Demolition began Wednesday at Eugene Field Elementary School at 11th Street and West 22nd Street.

The school was Tulsa's oldest, built 80 years ago.

Crews discovered asbestos during Wednesday's demolition, so they had to stop until they can get it cleaned up.

Eugene Field teachers and staff moved into a new $6.4-million building back in October.
