A Claremore woman hit by a car in a store parking lot is recovering. Tulsa Police say the man who hit her was drunk. Linda McDaniel has a broken neck and needs surgery.
She's expected to make a complete recovery, despite being hit by a car in a Mervyn's parking lot near 6800 South Memorial Wednesday night.
She hit the windshield, and then rolled off the hood. Victim’s husband Stanley McDaniel: "As hard as he hit her, there's no way he couldn't have broken multiple bones, but she doesn't have any, except for the one in her neck."
Police say the man behind the wheel was 45-year-old Charles Chenoweth [pictured right], who lives just a couple of blocks from the scene of the crash. He was arrested for DUI and jailed.
Court records show it's his fourth arrest involving alcohol, and second DUI.
