Grove High School's marching band gets some money from the News on 6

The News on 6 had an early Christmas present for one deserving Green Country high school marching band.

News on 6 anchor Craig Day: â€œThe winner of the class 5A Battle of the Bands competition is the Grove High School marching band.â€

Craig Day presented a $1,000 check from The News on 6 and Jim Glover Chevrolet to the Grove High School Marching Band Tuesday evening. They're the class 5A winner in our Friday Football Fever battle of the bands contest.

There was a lot of holiday cheer in Grove; the band treated a packed house to a Christmas concert at a local church, where they also collected food and toys for needy families.
