Cleaning up from a messy accident late Monday night. It happened before midnight on 145th East Avenue at I-244.

Officials say the driver of a semi-truck hauling cattle was trying to buckle his seatbelt when he lost control. That caused his truck to tip over.

Authorities say 15 cows were killed. The other 20 were rounded up.

The accident also caused a three car collision behind it. Two people were transported to the hospital, but no one was seriously hurt.
