HENRYETTA, Okla. (AP) -- An 81-year-old Tulsa woman is killed Saturday when her car runs off the Indian Nation Turnpike near Henryetta and crashes into an embankment.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Frances Schad was transported Saturday afternoon to the Henryetta Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The patrol says Schad was northbound on the turnpike about 4:40 Saturday afternoon when her car swerved toward the center median, then veered the opposite direction, ran off the road and hit the embankment.
