OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Students at an Oklahoma vocational school used their practical training and community spirit to install a new computer network for students at an Oklahoma City parochial school.

Great Plains Technology Center instructor Carl Wicks, 14 students and a colleague traveled from Lawton to Sacred Heart Elementary School yesterday. They installed more than 60 rebuilt computers and a network server at no cost to the Catholic school.

Students in the computer technician program at Great Plains refurbish computers for the federal Computers for Learning program, which provides schools with rebuilt, used military computers.

Students hone their abilities in networking, hardware and software, computer assembly, infrastructure and other technical skills.
