CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A Tulsa man is dead after crashing into a tractor-trailer rig on the Will Rogers Turnpike early Wednesday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Edward Sullivan was killed in the accident near Claremore about 12:45 AM.

Troopers say the semi was westbound when the driver stopped because of another accident that blocked both lanes of the turnpike. Investigators say Sullivan apparently didn't see the traffic stopped in front of him and crashed into the rear of the rig.

The turnpike was shut down for 2 and-a-half hours because of the accidents.
