A state judge has rejected an attempt by former state Insurance Commission Carroll Fisher and his aide to dismiss felony charges against them.
Fisher faces trial in February in the first of five cases against him. He's accused of embezzlement, perjury, bribery, and a host of other charges. Fisher wanted a new judge, but was denied.
An effort to get the trial moved out of Oklahoma County will be decided next month.
His aide, Opal Ellis, also faces charges.
Fisher resigned last year after the state House impeached him, and before he could go to trial before the state Senate.
