Fifth graders aboard a Prue school bus got quite a scare when a shot was fired at their bus Monday.
The students were on a field trip in Sand Springs. The driver told Sand Springs Police he was waiting to turn, when a gray Ford Escort sped by and someone fired a shot at them. The blast shattered one of the bus windows.
Police say it turns out it was a marble fired from a paintball gun or a slingshot.
The bus driver, Morris Bradmore, says he couldn't believe what was happening. "I was scared. I mean I didn't know what to do. I'm still a little shooken up over this incident.†Bradmore was able to pull over immediately and call 911.
No one was hurt on the bus.
