OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- More than one thousand horses along with their trainers and riders are in Oklahoma City for the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show.
Some ranches and trainers bring ten or more horses and occupy rows of stalls inside the horse barns at State Fair Park. Many of them decorate the stalls, draping colored curtains or even building complicated log cabin facades.
Sara Long of Liberty, Missouri, says it took three people more than a day to build a ranch-style wood entrance to her stalls -- complete with a metal roof, trees, and lights.
Long says she wants to market and sell horses. Attractive stalls represent the quality of your horses and the quality of the work you do.
The horse show began on November 5th and runs through Saturday.
