A homeless man hit by a van in north Tulsa has died.

Tulsa Police say the victim was pushing a cart across the street at Admiral and Lewis when he was hit. He was trapped underneath the van for some time before firefighters were able to lift it off of him.

The accident happened about 6:15 AM Friday.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but later died from his injuries.
