Oklahoma's next lottery game kicked off Thursday. Pick 3 is now on sale at stores and the Oklahoma Lottery Commission hopes the state still has lottery fever.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says it costs $1 to play and you could win up to $500.
Players pick three numbers, and then watch for their winning numbers to be picked. You can win several different ways, even if you just get two numbers correct.
This game is a little tougher to understand as opposed to the scratch off tickets which went on sale last month. That has some vendors thinking Pick Three won't be as popular.
Mike Thornburgh with QuikTrip: “When the lottery hit with scratch off, it was a feeding frenzy. And everybody, people who typically don't play, bought one just for curiosity’s sake. Now I don't think that's going to happen."
Clerks here are ready for the rush to buy and for questions that follow for this new game.
The state will pick the first numbers tonight at 9:10 PM. Tune into the WB, Channel 19 in Tulsa for the results.
Vendors are paying especially close attention to these tickets. If a customer fills it out wrong and vendor does not catch the mistake and still processes the ticket, then the vendor is the one paying for the loss.
