ZENA, Okla. (AP) -- A search of the Zena Cemetery by Delaware County authorities has turned up no evidence of a baby in an unmarked grave, officials said.
The Delaware County Sheriff's department received a letter claiming that a baby had been buried in an unmarked grave about five years ago in the cemetery, located between Jay and Grove on Oklahoma 127.
Officers using specially trained dogs that are used for searching for cadavers searched the west side of the cemetery, but nothing out of the ordinary was discovered.
A search of old police records uncovered no reports of missing babies or children from that period, authorities said.
