OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Governor Brad Henry is issuing a ban on outdoor burning in six southeastern Oklahoma counties.

The ban is in effect in Bryan, Choctaw, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain and Pushmataha counties. Outdoor charcoal and gas grilling is permitted.

The entire state remains under a Red Flag Fire Alert because of continued unseasonably warm and dry conditions.

Outdoor burning should be avoided when winds are more than 2 miles per hour.
