OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The former head of Lucky Star casinos for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes is charged with embezzlement.
James Wayne Pedro senior is accused of using his position on the tribes' business committee to illegally take nearly 200-thousand dollars in casino money. Prosecutors say he gave the money to "select individuals" and family members.
Prosecutors say Pedro is expected to plead guilty to the charges in the next few weeks.
Pedro's wife, Lea Schantz, and former secretary Peggy Bigpond face similar charges and are also expected to plead guilty.
