Some very "particular" burglars have struck in Bixby. The thieves break in to only certain vehicles, but they're not trying to steal cars.

They're not even interested in what's inside once they break in.

News on 6 anchor Scott Thompson says all thieves make off with are the doors and they only target Jeep Wranglers.

They struck Connie Wells' 1993 Wrangler early Friday morning. When she got ready to leave for work, she found her Jeep in the driveway, but both doors were missing.

Her local insurance agent told her this was the fourth claim for stolen Wrangler doors she's had in the past month. Connie was surprised that's all they took. "They didn't steal my radio. I even had a little Ziploc bag with coins in it in the front seat. They didn't take anything else, just that."

Connie's insurance agent says she could be out $2,700 for new doors, but she says finding used doors could be a problem. That's because most of the used doors on the market are probably stolen.

Bixby Police broke up a door theft ring earlier this summer.

Connie's husband says these most recent thieves are lucky he didn't catch them in the act.
