Allegations that Paul Williford found his victims along his newspaper route has stunned some of the other carriers.

Laura Weigant has spent 20 years getting up at 2:30 every morning. She says she's shocked at the allegations, especially since many of them rarely see their customers. Weigant says other carriers are talking about what happened. “He’s not the caliber of person who should be doing something like this, but how would you know? I think from now they're going to have to be more careful, sure.”

The Tulsa World newspaper says for the last couple of years, it has encouraged readers needing customer service to call the paper directly, rather than going through the carrier.
