The Tulsa Police Department will soon be pinning on new badges, but only temporarily.

The new badge is in honor of Oklahoma's centennial celebration in 2007. Officers will wear the new centennial badge from March 2006 to December 2006.

So far, about 200 officers have placed orders for the new badge, which they must pay for out of their own pocket.
