MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ Country music star and Oklahoma native Toby Keith heads a group of inductees into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame later this week.

Keith, Tommy Allsup, Billy Parker, Bob Bogle, Nokie Edwards and Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa will be inducted during a ceremony and concert Thursday night at the Muskogee Civic Center.

Keith has had a string of hits since first breaking onto the national music scene in 1993 with the song ``Shoulda Been a Cowboy.''

Allsup played with early rock legend Buddy Holly while Parker played with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Red Foley and Ernest Tubb. Bogle was a co-founder of the group The Ventures and Edwards was lead guitarist for The Ventures.

Cain's Ballroom is one of the best known music venues in the nation and has hosted legends like Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Hank Williams and Hank Thompson.
