Grant to fund student scholarships

DURANT, Okla. (AP) _ The Choctaw Nation and Southeastern Oklahoma State University have been awarded a four-year grant worth nearly one million-dollars.

The groups will use the grant to fund scholarships for American Indian students majoring in education.

Applications for the Native American Excellence in Education are due November Eleventh. Applicants must have completed more than 45 hours of college and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
