OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Some PikePass customers will receive a credit averaging about $11 under a proposed settlement of a class-action lawsuit claiming customers were overcharged.
The 2002 lawsuit alleged that customers were overbilled because of incorrect readings by the electronic toll-collection system.
A PikePass is a prepaid account that automatically deducts tolls as a customer enters or exits at certain locations on the state's ten toll roads.
Final approval of the settlement is scheduled for a December 9th hearing in Oklahoma County District Court.
The settlement involves transactions between January 1st, 1991, and September 15th, 2005.
