Longtime Tulsa restaurant Casa Bonita just shut its doors, but plans are already in the works to re-open it, with a few changes.
Casa Bonita closed its doors for the last time Friday night after 34 years in business. A line stretched around the building at 21st and Sheridan with people waiting as long as three hours for one last meal.
The Tulsa landmark is already poised for a comeback. Founder Bill Waugh, who also owns the "Burger Street" restaurant chain, will reopen the Casa Bonita later this year under the name "Casa Viva".
The restaurant will look about the same, but Waugh says the food will be better.
