A string of attempted sexual assaults has Tulsa Police on alert. Detectives believe the same man terrorized at least five women near south Tulsa apartment complexes.
The News on 6's Heather Lewin says Tulsa Police suspect the man was simply choosing victims at random, some he exposed himself to, others he physically grabbed.
It all happened between about 6:30 and 10 o'clock Thursday night, within about a five mile radius of 71st and Yale.
The first assault was inside a complex laundry room on South 99th East Avenue. The victim told police the man followed her in wearing only a black t-shirt, socks and shoes, exposed himself and left.
Minutes later a man fitting the same description tried to rape a jogger at a nearby park. From there, similar reports came in about every 20 to 30 minutes from women in the area.
Tulsa Police Sgt Gary Stansill: "Anyone that's attacked a woman in a park is dangerous, anyone that goes in someone's residence and attacks a female is dangerous."
The description of the suspect is a combination of what all five victims reported. Tulsa Police believe the suspect is a white male in his mid-20's about 5-5 to 5-10, thin with a small build, fair skin and dark hair.
Police advise women in the area to be on the lookout and avoid anyone suspicious.
