One person was arrested after a hostage situation led to an unusual series of events.

It started at a Tulsa apartment at 49th and Darlington around midnight. Tulsa Police say an intruder held a woman and her small son hostage while he waited for her roommate.

After more than an hour, the suspect realized the man was hiding in the bathroom and the fight was on. The suspect beat the man with a baseball bat, until the victim jumped out a second story window to safety.

The suspect left with a couple of other people. They were stopped several miles away at 31st and Memorial, where the woman held hostage, identified the suspect.
