OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Governor Brad Henry Tuesday named Clancy Smith to a vacant district judge's position in Tulsa County.

Smith succeeds Jane Wiseman, who was appointed previously to the state Court of Civil Appeals.

The 62-year-old Smith was chosen from among three candidates whose names were submitted by the Judicial Nominating Commission.

Henry says Smith is a judge of top professionalism and integrity and says she'll be a great asset to the bench.
