SALLISAW, Okla. (AP) -- A Sallisaw woman is pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death of her 86-year-old mother.

Prosecutors say Joanne Holman faces up to life in prison after pleading guilty in Sequoyah County District Court.

Holman was arrested in July 2005 after her mother -- Pearl Burkhart -- was found suffering dehydration, malnutrition and other health problems.

Burkhart died about two weeks later at a Sallisaw hospital.

Formal sentencing for Holman is scheduled for November 13th.
