Kids at Liberty Elementary School in Sallisaw thought they'd get an extra day off, but that wasn't the case.
They started classes even though Tuesday’s thunderstorm took off part of the school's roof.
Water damaged caused $100,000 in damage to four classrooms.
A lot of textbooks were ruined, but much more was saved by a helpful community.
More than 200 people started the cleanup effort just hours after the storm came through Sallisaw.
