STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) A Payne County judge says former Oklahoma State University men's basketball coach Eddie Sutton has complied with a court order to attend a victim impact panel on the effects of drunken driving.
Payne County Special District Judge Michael Stano conducted a hearing Tuesday in Sutton's case, which Sutton didn't attend.
The former coach pleaded no contest in May to aggravated drunken driving and related charges resulting from a Stillwater crash that injured him and another driver.
He was placed on probation for a year as part of a plea bargain requiring him to have an alcohol evaluation and extended inpatient counseling, which he had completed when he entered his plea.
Sutton won't have a criminal record if he successfully completes his probation.
He retired two weeks after entering his plea.
